Paul was born and grew up on the Isle of Man. His art training began at the Isle of Man College before he left to study at Chelsea School of Art in London. Back on the Island, Paul continued to produce his own work and was a driving force behind more than fifty contemporary art exhibitions for the organisation Arts in Mann. He has also ran teaching projects in sculpture and screen printing at the Isle of Man College. As well as contributing extensively to many local exhibitions, he won numerous awards at the Singer & Friedlander exhibition. He has exhibited in France, Belgium, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom and has works in the collections of Manx National Heritage, The IOM Arts Council and in private collections in London and the Isle of Man. For many years he has assisted in the creation of stamp issues for IOM Post Office.
